Training for people who want to accompany others in their daily life
Many Christians find it helpful to have a spiritual ’companion’: someone you can talk to about your journey with the Lord.
This is normally a long-term arrangement with an experienced Christian whom you can trust.
Following the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius, members of the Community who have been trained for that are available to accompany people looking for personal accompaniment.
The Chemin Neuf Community in the UK offers a course to support and train individuals in the basics of spiritual accompaniment.
This course is for those who are considering accompanying others on their spiritual journey, or who are already doing so or who want to deepen their own spiritual journey. Everyone attending this course should be accompanied; a companion could be provided by the Community if needed.
