CARTUJA IN SARAGOSSA, SPAIN

Our largest International Formation Centre settled in 2011 in a former Carthusian monastery next to Saragossa, after the monks decided to hand it over to Chemin Neuf. Since then, the ‘Cartuja Aula Dei’ has opened its gates to a large number of families, couples and singles. Including the children, the Centre is often crowded with more than 150 people living community life together! The daily life is designed to make it suitable for families with their children going to school, but all age groups are welcome.

Each year the International Centre in Saragossa offers 3 month or 9 month programmes held between September and June. This programme includes courses in biblical studies and theology, but is also very much focused on community life and personal spiritual growth. A personal spiritual companion and a silent retreat are offered to each participant.

HAUTECOMBE ABBEY, FRANCE

Since 1992, this abbey based in Savoie, Southern France, has hosted the ‘Hautecombe Discipleship Schools’. Every year, this programme gathers around 50 people, mostly young adults but including also a few families. They come from all over the world and from a variety of denominations, and stay at the centre for either 3, 6 or 9 months.

SERVING THE ANGLICAN COMMUNION

THE COMMUNITY OF SAINT ANSELM, LONDON

Since 2015, the Archbishop of Canterbury has welcomed in Lambeth Palace each year a group of 15 young adults for “one year in God’s time,” to experience community life in a very ecumenical and international atmosphere. This programme is led in collaboration with the Chemin Neuf Community.
