PROGRAMME
“God saw all he had made, and indeed it was very good” – Genesis 1:31
Five days to contemplate the goodness and wisdom of God’s creation. Prayer, work and community life in the garden and grounds of Sclerder Abbey in Cornwall.
‘Consider the plants of the meadow …
consider the birds of the air …
God cares for them … God feeds them.’ cf Lk 12:24ff.
Join us as we open our eyes and ears to the natural world, rejoicing at its beauty and thanking God for its life and goodness. But also hearing its cry and turning our hearts to care for it, learning to heal the soil, to nurture its life, to undo our abuses. And then to be renewed by the Holy Spirit, to be strengthened for our duty to care for creation.
